Maximum mailbox size for mailbox move to Exchange 2007

Moved a mailbox under 100mb (from Exchange 2000 to 2007 server) with no
problems.

Tried moving 2 more today, one 1.3Gb, and one 3.5Gb - both hung.
Huge problems ensued after cancelling, (after waiting over 2 hours) - needed
to restart E2k server, as both mailboxes would not reopen.

Can anyone inform me of the Maximum recommended mailbox size for mailbox
move to Exchange 2007.

Thanks

I don't know that there is one (although I shudder to imagine a 3.5GB
mailbox). However, it will take a very long time for them to move, so you'd
best ensure you've got a good / fast network connection & do this after
hours. 2 hours doesn't sound like very long to me for two mailboxes of that
size - I don't know the metric to calculate the time.

About 2GB an hour is a good rule of thumb.  It could be a little faster than
that sometimes.

I spotted this article possibly in relation to this problem:

A mailbox move operation stops responding when you move a mailbox from an
Exchange 2003 mailbox store or from an Exchange 2007 mailbox store to another
Exchange 2007 mailbox store

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936300/

Although, this article realtes to Excchange 2003 specifuically, any idea
whether this also could inlude moves from Exchange 2000 to 2007?

You really didn't wait long enough for the move to happen for you to
determine whether it "stopped responding,"  though.
