Do not have permission to send as specified user

Hi,

I am running Exchange 2003 Standard on a server. If I send from the from
field in outlook technical support I get an error that says I do not have
permission to send on that specified user.

However if I go into Active Directory to Delivery Options in the Exchange
General tab and grant permission as myself to send from the support mailbox
this works. This works ok but whenever I email out instead of having
technical support in the from field you see:

myemail address on behalf of; Technical Support

What I am finding is because my personal email address is visible before
technical support some people are replying to my personal email address
rather than the support address.

All my other colleagues don't have this being displayed they just see
technical support in the from field. None of the other engineers have their
name in the grant permission as section of Exchange General->Delivery options.

The Technical Support listed in AD is not a distribution group it is just a
seperate mailbox which the engineers just open this additional mailbox in
Outlook (2003). I have re-checked settings and as far as I can tell nothing
is different between the other engineers. Checked for member of groups but
everything is identical.

I have looked at forums where they mention a send as mailbox right but
unable locate this in Exchange 2003 Standard. When I go to mailbox rights
don't see anything other than the normal permissions such as delete, read,
change, full access, etc.

Sounds like you granted "Send on Behalf Of" rights somehow - not Send As.
Double check.
