One Exchange 2003 between trusted domains?Although you can certainly have multiple inbound SMTP domains for a
single exchange server, is it possible to set it up in this manner but one of the domains is going to be used by a trusted domain that is not part of the original Exchange internal based domain.? So comapny A has it's domain and built an Exchange 2003 and all is good. Comapny B has it's own domain and wants to share the use of the Company A Exchange server. Is this possible? I am sure there will be more to watch regarding recipient policies but just want to make sure it is technically workable. Thanks!! On Wed, 12 Sep 2007 10:48:00 -0700, Transam388

Thanks!! http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/planning-architecture/exchange-2007-smtp-namespace-sharing-different-relay-domain-types.html It tells you all about internal and external relaying. Essentially you're going to create a connector so that Exchange accepts the message and then does what you want with it rather than just refusing it. Well I guess this answers part of the question. What I mean though is two
different Active Directory domains sharing one Exchange server.? The allowing in of different SMTP I know can be done but since Exchange uses ADUC for security I was not sure how it would handle or even allow users from a different active directory domain to be on the server. I have a client that is looking
at the same scenario - one exchange server 2003 in a central domain with full trusts to a couple of other domains. Thanks. As mentioned you can allow multiple SMTP domains
inbound but as far as having one exchange being shared between two trusted domains I did not get an answer. Show quote "RichardL" wrote: > Did you ever get a solution/ answer for this?
