Delegate access to a user's Distribution List within his ContactsI have a user (Simon) who want his secretary (Kate) to be able to edit his Contacts list and create/edit Distribution lists for him. I have given Kate delegate access to his Contact list and she can open it ok. She can also look at the contents of his Distribution lists within his Contacts folder. However, when she tries to add items to the Distribution list, she cannot see Simon's Contacts in the "Show names from the..." drop-down list and so cannot add entries. Normally, I would expect to go the Contact folder's properties and select "Show this folder as an e-mail address book", but this option is not available to Kate when she's looking at Simon's Contacts. I've tried the following; Give Kate delegate access to Simon's Contacts folder. From Simon's Outlook, share the Contacts folder with Kate. From Kate's Outlook, add Simon's Mailbox to the list in "Open these additional mailboxes" in the Exchange server Advanced tab. None of the above attempts will allow Kate to "Pick" entries from Simon's Contacts - she can only ever see the contents of her own Contacts folder, GAL, and shared address book in Public Folders. Any suggestions would be gratefully received ! Thanks, Andy. If anyone knows of a "tidier" solution I'd be happy to hear :) Andy. |
