Mail headers stripped in IMAP clientI have one user who notified a strange problem. Some of the emails headers
are getting stripped when he views those mails in IMAP client, but same emails headers are viewed perfectly fine in Outlook 2003. He is able to view headers for all the new mails what he is receiving but not able to view specific mails headers specific to a previous date. Previuosly his mailbox was lying on a different exchange server which got decommissioned and his mailbox got moved to new Exchange Server. User is happy with new mails but he is insisting on seeing his old mails headers in IMAP client which he was able to view previously. Any specific troubleshooting on this ? -- Prashant You can try a different IMAP client and see if it shows the headers; that
might narrow it down to a client problem. -- Ed Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!" gave the same results, whereas Outlook 2003 using MAPI did not show the corrupted messages. -- Prashant Show quote "Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote: > You can try a different IMAP client and see if it shows the headers; that > might narrow it down to a client problem. > -- > Ed Crowley > MVP - Exchange > "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!" > > "pkhaire" <pkha***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:4F464320-E276-40DC-BFFE-AFF16600D841@microsoft.com... > >I have one user who notified a strange problem. Corrupted term simply means those messages for which some header information is not seen. Those mesages are perfectly seen in Outlook with all the headers intact but not in IMAP client. All the new mails delivered to this mailbox are seen perfectly fine with all the headers. -- Prashant Show quote "Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote: > Corrupted? > -- > Ed Crowley > MVP - Exchange > "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!" > > "pkhaire" <pkha***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:8A8A068E-3C78-4885-B0CC-DB74128B22E0@microsoft.com... > > Tests with IMAP access via both Outlook Express (OE6SP1) and Opera (9.24) > > gave the same results, whereas Outlook 2003 using MAPI did not show the > > corrupted messages. > > > > -- > > Prashant > > > > > > "Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote: > > > >> You can try a different IMAP client and see if it shows the headers; that > >> might narrow it down to a client problem. > >> -- > >> Ed Crowley > >> MVP - Exchange > >> "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!" > >> > >> "pkhaire" <pkha***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > >> news:4F464320-E276-40DC-BFFE-AFF16600D841@microsoft.com... > >> >I have one user who notified a strange problem.
