hi! i have a problem with the public folder replication. i have  win2k3r2

when i use pfmigrate to start replication (moveing), that doesn't work. does
anyone had the same problem and solved it? thanks. stefan
info: from exchange 2000 and win2ksp4 to win2k3 exchange 2003 sp2 there
wasn't a problem...

PFMIGRATE doesn't move the folders, it just creates replicas, something you
can do almost as easily using the Exchange 2003 System Manager.  The actual
public folder repliation (migration) happens in the background and it can
take a while.  How long have you waited?  If you don't see it happening
after a day or two, look at the queues for public folder replication content
messages piling up, which would alert you to a problem somewhere.

hi! thanks for the replay. but in the documentation, it says:

To move System Folders
PFMIGRATE.WSF /S:SourceServer /T:DestinationServer /SF /A /N:100
/F:C:\LOGFILE.LOG
To move Public Folders
PFMIGRATE.WSF /S:SourceServer /T:DestinationServer /A /N:100 /F:C:\LOGFILE.LOG
To remove Public Folders after succesful Replication
PFMIGRATE.WSF /S:SourceServer /T:DestinationServer /D

i waited 18 hours.
ok, but i can't look at it because we did it another way. we copied the
public folders away and copied them back.

Right there, the documentation says "To remove Public Folders after
successful Replication", proving that what I say is true, that the tool sets
replicas and regular public folder replication moves the content.

If a manual move worked for you, then that's great.  My customers'
infrastructures are so huge and complex that it would be a massive task to
do it that way.  Also, didn't you lose folder rights settings, folder
assistant rules and the like?
