exchange 2003 removalWe had a unsuccessful exchange 5.5 to exchange 2005 migration.
We followed the documentaion for removing exchange 2003. A few things after the removal are still lingering such as: Users and Computers on the exchange5.5 server still has the option to create mailbox enables users? Is it save to remove the ADC connector from the server, and delete it from sites and services? thx jason I'm assuming you've already run setup /removeorg.
In this case, you simply need to open-up the ADC console, and delete the connection agreements. Once deleted, you shouldn't have an option to create mailboxes during user creation. Failure to delete the connection agreements will prevent you from using add/remove programs to uninstall the ADC service gracefully. However you needn't uninstall the ADC service if you intend on performing another deployment. Removing the ADC Service object from sites and services is a last resort. Only do so if you've already formatted the computer on which the ADC service used to be installed. removeorg was not run. The documentation said that it will remove 'Exchange completely from your enterprise.' I was assuming that removeorg would remove my exchange5.5 site also? There are two articles with different removal methods article 833396 article 839356 thx jason Show quote "Vincent Yim [MSFT]" <v***@online.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:eUNuVeKMFHA.3708@TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... > I'm assuming you've already run setup /removeorg. > In this case, you simply need to open-up the ADC console, and delete the > connection agreements.
